Fashion Meets Food: The Breakfast Club

The hunt for Good food and cutting edge fashion wear are two things I, along with most Nairobians are always ‘hungry’ for (call it Nairobi hunger games). Well two of my favourite-est things have come together to form the most delicious collaboration known to mankind! FOOD AND FASHION YOH! I bet you can’t mention any other collaboration that can arouse both your taste and shopping buds. In celebration of the undeniable union between fashion and food, I got to work with some of the industry’s most outstanding food blogger “boss babes” Cezooh Jenny, Joan Gikonyo and our crazy hype-girl Daisy Njoki where we spent a morning shooting some of our breakfast dining accessories at one of the city’s most unique early-morning spots, Karel T Lounge in Village Market.

Food blogger Ceezoh Jenny embarked on an ultra-chic fine dining experience by ordering the Queens breakfast and rocked a blue wrap top while doing it.

Joan Gikonyo complemented he bold ribbed skirt look by ordering the Karel breakfast accompanied with lemon tea.

Daisy Njoki with her passion for healthy living had a full Karel T lounge vegan experience

I on the other hand complimented my heatwave neckerchief look with the Mediterranean breakfast and a cup of coffee

It is undoubtedly true that what you wear to a restaurant is often just as important as what you eat and I feel like this is what blurs the lines between fashion and food. To some extent the Nairobian notion of food and fashion is fuelled by necessity (yani usichome picha! Haha)

Scroll down to go through the full story and see what happens when Fashion and Food collide. Be sure to check out Karel T lounge if you’re in Village Market!

That’s all folks!!

Remember to stay suited.
