1.TELL ABOUT YOURSELF HOW YOU DESCRIBE BRIAN ODIPO ?

Brian Odipo is a third year student pursuing product design at the University of Nairobi.

2. WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

I'm from Kahawa West.

3. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

I would describe my style as 'AFRICAN GENTLEMAN' because I want to be that version of a full African man in the way I dress.

4. WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START ?

My passion drew me to this and the urge to live a life of purpose.

5. FASHION IS VERY COMPETITIVE, HOW DO YOU STAND OUT ?

I stand out cause I try to be the best version of me in as much as there are people who inspire me. I'm also very observant and I take keen interest on people I see on the street.

6. WHO HAS THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR STYLE ?

7. WHAT FASHION TREND DO YOU WISH WOULD COME BACK ?

In as much as I don't follow trends, I think 90's look is shaping up and is the future as far as fashion is concerned.

8. WHAT FASHION TREND DO YOU WISH WAS GONE FOREVER ?

Shorts with tall socks, lol ( both for boys and girls ) It's just wrong.

9. WHICH WOULD YOU SAY IS YOUR BEST HEAD-TO-TOE LOOK SO FAR ?

'Don't touch' haha....prints, rubbers and a nice shirt with accessories of course ( I plan on doing away with jeans and get a collection of some very unique prints )

10. WHAT HAVE YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO DO ?

I wanted to do stories in picture forms, I've done it, still doing it and will always do it.

that's what I've always wanted to do.

11. WHAT IS THE STRANGEST SITUATION YOU'VE FACED AS A STYLIST ?

In my transformation, I've always wanted to be branded as the "wierd one". My friends have always asked me the kind of style I was dong and its not easy to put them down and explain all about it. But since they understood we've been OK.

GIKOMBA aka WATHI aka G-MALL

simple affordable and easy to get something weird to match my look.

13. WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE FASHION DESIGNER IF YOU HAVE ANY ?

ITIFFICIAL CLOTHING. They make some really nice official wear.

14. WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU'VE LEARNT FROM THE FASHION SCENE ?

It's growing rapidly and so many young designers and stylists are coming up to showcase their ideas somethng we really need, modern trends

15. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE KENYAN FASHION SCENE NEEDS ?

It needs to be original and once original there should be some creativity.

don't just take trends as they are, develop them and make something new.

16. AS A FINAL NOTE WHAT DO YOU FEEL MAKES A GOOD FASHION STYLIST ?

It comes naturally. It can't and shouldn't be forced.

Once it is developed people will appreciate you.
